NEAB Exercise Together
The New Earswick All Blacks family gathered together yesterday for their #NEABTogether exercise classes, which are run by Academy of Rugby League coach and open age player Mark Hayes.
The #NEABTogether initiative sees players, parents and coaches gather together for three sessions a week based around fundamentals of rugby league tailored for families and people of all abilities to take part.
Monday evening saw the first taste of action, with over 25 families signing into the video conferencing software to take part, and it was great to see living rooms, gardens and kitchens being crowded with people completing the exercise routine.
Carl Pallister, coach of the Under 13s said “It’s a great way to bring the club together in these difficult times and making sure our players keep positive and helping with their wellbeing, as well as keeping their fitness up.”
One of the parents, who got involved said: “That exercise was absolutely brilliant, legs are stinging – Proper stuff that.” A second said “I wasn’t going to get involved tonight as I had already worked out during the day, but John wanted me to join him. It was ace.”
The classes are taking place on Mondays and Wednesdays at 5.30pm and Saturdays at 12.15pm and if you would like to get involved then please contact Dawn on firstname.lastname@example.org
